If you would like to express your position on a bill to a legislator but do not wish to testify, you can write, call or send them a message. Please note that testimony submitted through these methods is a public record and may be posted on the Legislature’s website or provided in response to a public records request. You may also submit written testimony directly to the aide of the relevant committee you can find committee aides and links to contact them at the Senate Committee and Assembly Committee pages. Registration typically closes at 3 PM the business day before a meeting. The state is apportioned into 40 legislative districts with approximately equal populations, each of which is represented by one senator and two Assembly members.
